The kids love sweet potatoes but they are quite expensive in Phayak. I have started a little project to grow sweet potatoes. Instead of waiting for the sweet potatoes to "shoot" naturally, I am trying to accelerate the process by submerging the bottom half in water and placing them in the sun. Read about this method on the internet and hopefully it works. In about 1-2 weeks' time, roots are supposed to form at the base and leaves will grow from the top of the sweet potatoes. Will keep you updated on the progress.

Seeing the sweet potatoes that reminds me a story. Maybe long time ago, Alvin bought too much potatoes at fresh market on weekend. Then ,in the cell meeting on Friday night, he cooked the pancake which was made from potato only. It was delicious :)
