lightning strikes

 

 

Had a huge thunderstorm last night - plenty of lightning, thunder and rain. This is the start of the thunderstorm season, where it's hot in the day and you get thunderstorms in the late afternoon. We actually had a few lightning strikes hit Samuel's House compound - one actually 

missed Hannah by inches!!! Thank God. There was, however, a direct hit on the girl's house and it knocked out some of the lights (see the burnt mark in the first picture). Thank God nothing major happened (such as the house catching fire). Apparently the houses here do not have lightning earthing systems built in. We got the electrical guys in the very next day to install a lightning earthing system to protect us and the house! Won't want to get electrocuted or have the house burnt down while sleeping!
