mini angkor wat

Why go to Cambodia for Angkor Wat when you can come to Phayak for Phanom Rung (on top of visiting/volunteering at Samuel's House)? Phanom Rung was built during the 12th century and is set on top of Phanom Rung Hill in Tambon Ta Pek, Chaloem Phra Khiat District, Buri Ram Province. It is very well preserved and has very interesting architecture such as the five-headed naga (mythical snake) statue. Phanom Rung is about 2 hours drive from Phayak. Took the kids out for a day trip to Phanom Rung and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves (and
so did we!).
