shopping for canteen

Last Sunday, I went to the market with the school canteen ladies to buy supplies for the week. Went to Lomsak market which is about 20km from here. This is my first experience shopping in bulk at markets. Everything is packed for bulk sale! Our first stop was at the veggie stall where we bought ingredients for som tam and noodle soup. My favorite stop was at the shop stock with heaps of junk food. It has all sorts of biscuits, crackers, lollies, jelly, soft drinks and basically any sort of junk food you can think of. Interestingly, you can park your car at one spot and when you buy your goods from any stall in the market area, they will deliver them to your car as well as help you to load and pack them nicely into the car. As you can see, our car was so packed with our purchases that we had to tie them onto the top of the car.

When Linda mentioned abt the service in the market, i also wanna raise my idea as well. I feel that the service in the developing countries are better than the developed one. As i can see, the poor sale person is willing to do everything to sell their goods but in Aus, we-customers usually helps ourselves :)
