Once in a while, we need to give ourselves a little treat, such as the JW Marriott in Lima & 2 hr Thai massage in Bangkok. In Phetchabun, we have Swensen's Ice Cream (it is all over Bangkok too)!!! It is in a shopping complex about 30 mins drive from Mercy International, so we don't go there everyday (we would love to, though). The ice cream is very good and unbelievably cheap. The ice cream sundaes you see above cost about 79 Baht each, which is about A$2.60!!! How good is that? When we first went into a Swensen's Ice Cream (in Bangkok), we have to do a double take at the prices...We have to do our currency conversions a few times, just to be sure. We couldn't believe it was so cheap! For A$2.60 in Australia, we can probably only get an el cheapo Macca's sundae or a Wall's drumstick...This is going to be our weekly hangout!!!
