peruvian food

Guinea pig anyone?...Cuy to the Peruvians. We haven't tried it yet but will like to try it.












Coca leaves...for coca tea which helps with altitude sickness.













Chicha...traditional peruvian beer made from corn or strawberry...YUCKS!

















Famous Pisco sour...3 glasses and it's all over...Pisco + lime juice + egg white + bitters + sugar

















Ceviche...fresh fish and seafood marinated in lemon juice and spices.












Dehydrated potatoes...can keep for years and years. Peru has more than 5000 species of potato. More than 100 types are commonly available at the markets.
