nervous?????

At the airport (Qantas Lounge, actually) now - 5th Mar 2008...Waiting for our flight to Auckland (to catch a connection to Santiago, Chile and onward to Lima, Peru)...

Couldn't sleep too well last night.Was all nervous about the trip...Linda was going "of all people, you should be the least nervous, given that you are a frequent traveller..." Even though I have been to over 40-50 countries (including Peru)....I WAS STILL NERVOUS! 

It is probably due to the fact that I am very much a "plans & schedules" person. I need to plan ahead and know exactly what, when, where, etc...You get what I mean..This trip is different from all my trips in that it is not one of my business trips where everything is planned out by me (from pickup to airport - meetings - dinners - hotels - back to airport). These two months are planned out by the volunteer program and it is more or less out of my control...

I am much better this morning....More excited than nervous....We will see how we go - Will fill you in on all our developments..

Now back to the cafe latte and raisin toast (free) on the big red sofa!
