Bangkok has changed so much since I first visited 20 years ago. Still as crowded (if not more) and traffic is still bad. However, a lot has changed too. Heaps of skyscapers and huge shopping malls. You will not run out of places to shop. If you don't like to shop in the mall, you can shop at plenty of markets. Stalls line the streets of Bangkok once the sun sets.
