Well, this is the JW Marriott, Lima, Peru. This is the best hotel in Peru. It is situated at the beach beside the very fashionable Larcomar Shopping Area. We had to spend one night in Lima before catching the 7.30am flight out to Santiago, Chile. We thought...."hmmm, we needed to treat ourselves to a good bed, good shower, etc...after 8 weeks. And since Alvin has points for the Marriott Hotel chain, why not book us in for one night before the long journey back to Australia?" And so we did. We stayed one night (for free) and had a big king-sized bed, many fluffy pillows, bath robes, uninterrupted hot water (with very strong water pressure), a bath (with bath salts provided), views of the ocean, etc....everything that you would expect from a JW Marriott. I must say that the hotel staff did do a second take when two of us (grubby, dirty and carrying backpacks) walked into the hotel lobby to check-in! Yes Charlotte, Kate and Katrina - IT WAS GOOD!...It's so good not having to worry about hot water running out in the shower!
